We offer a workshop at BCH, usually on the third Saturday of each month, designed to teach what we call "energetic literacy," which we consider to be the foundation of all healing: on the levels of body, emotions, and mind.
One reason for the popularity of Yoga, Acupuncture and Qigong is that they come to us from cultures with a historical understanding of energy---an understanding that American society has largely lost.
Without that understanding many of us have difficulty creating the connections, meaning and satisfaction that we long for in our lives.
By re-learning and practicing the skills of “energy literacy” we can find and practice that connection, meaning and satisfaction and can learn to dance with the complexity and challenges of 21st century life, finding deep peace even in the midst of chaos.
This workshop focuses on 2 things:
- Understanding how energy lives and moves in human beings, and
- Practicing the ability to perceive, nourish and tend to our own and other people’s energies.
We'll spend time in discussion, practice, laughter, and community-building.
