Modern Yoga comes in many styles, and the abundance of options in Bend can be overwhelming.

At BCH, we believe the flow of energy is essential to vibrant health and wellbeing. Our yoga classes move at a slower pace, offer plenty of instruction and allow for turning inward to explore the mindful aspect of yoga and the subtle
energy within. We offer both Yin and Yang Yoga, balancing stillness and movement to create ease, find strength and bring balance.

Whether you have a specific health challenge you’re looking for help with or just a curiosity about how yoga works and what a BCH class is like, this evening will give you a deeper understanding of how yoga and energy awareness promotes health and healing.

This workshop will be led by Erin Collins E-RYT, RN BSN, a teacher here at Bend Community Healing.

If you have more questions or wish to register, click here or please call 541-322-9642.

Being, Belonging, Becoming: A 3-part series on deepening aliveness: July 10, 17, 31 from 7-9 at BCH

Most of us  today are so busy  that we've lost the ability to relax into the day-to-day, year-to-year, decade-to decade flow of our lives. Our trust in that flow and in our relationship with the universe has been eroded by the seemingly endless parade of troubling, worrying, even fearsome events happening at all levels of our lives.

This 3-part series is grounded in the idea that the sense of flow is basic to our human existence. And that, through learning the principles that underlie it, we can all restore that sense of flow, peace and unity to our lives.

The first evening of this series  (7/10) will explore how our sense of flow, ease, trust in life is molded by how (much)  we were allowed and encouraged as children to "be," to discover our own unique, individual texture and rhythm (as opposed to being forced to conform to the rhythms and textures of our environments). We'll also look at what happens if we don't get this permission and encouragement, and how we can clear and transcend the resulting blockages and effects.

The second evening (7/17) will focus on "Belonging," the deepening of our relationships with ourselves and the world that ideally are gently and gradually woven over our first decades of life. We'll explore potential blocks and interruptions in this process and how at any age the process can consciously be reengaged and nurtured, yielding a richer and more connected life.

The third evening (7/31) will focus on "Becoming," how we develop our deepest, most precious gifts and offer them to the world in a figure-8 flow of nourishment and abundance. We'll learn how this process, too, is often impaired but can always be restored and strengthened.

Classes will be taught by Mark Montgomery, Lic. Ac., on Tuesday evening, 7/10, 7/17, and 7/31  from 7-9 at Bend Community Healing, 155 SW Century Drive, Suite 113.

Cost of the series is on a sliding scale of $90 - $270.

Mudras and Pranayama for Healing                                                  Sunday April 29th, 4:00-6:00pm

Mudras are gestures of the hands, feet or body. Mudras support health and healing in body and mind by encouraging us to release old habits and ways of being, opening up more space for balance and integration of our practice.
Pranayama practice is to work with the breath and varying techniques of manipulating it based on seasons, health conditions or desired energetic effect. Together with mudras, pranayama can transform your yoga and your health and healing by bringing more internal awareness and intention to your practice.

$20-40 Sliding Scale
