Emerald teaches our Community Flow donation class alternate Friday afternoons from 5 - 6:15.
She began practicing yoga over 10 years ago as a way to maintain flexibility, but soon discovered that the meditative qualities of yoga are just as beneficial for a healthy body as the physical qualities are. The first yoga classes she taught were to her ranger-coworkers at a National Monument in Southern Idaho, where there were no other yoga classes for 50 miles! From those classes she learned the importance and gift of community.
Emerald believes yoga is for everyone and every body, and she is excited and grateful to be sharing the amazing practice of yoga.
Her classes provide a focused attention to safe alignment in postures, and are influenced by Vinyasa and Iyengar styles of yoga. She believes that yoga, like most things in life, should be FUN and feel GOOD!
In her life outside of the studio, Emerald also works as a geologist and spends any free time she can get playing in the outdoors.
