Mark teaches our QiGong classes Monday afternoons from 4-5 and Friday afternoons from 2:30 - 3:45, as well as our Essential Meditation class Tuesday evenings from 6-7. He is a licensed acupuncturist and certified Zero Balancer, as well as the owner of Bend Community Healing.
He earned his Master's Degree in acupuncture from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute in Columbia, Maryland, where he subsequently served on the faculty as an instructor and clinic supervisor. Since then he has studied with master acupuncturists and qigong instructors throughout the U.S. and in mainland China.
He also volunteered for several years as a drug detoxification acupuncturist at the Baltimore City Jail and at Penn North, an innovative walk-in drug detox clinic in Baltimore.
From 2008 to 2013 he was president of the Utah Association for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. His is also a longstanding member of POCA, the organization that pioneered community acupuncture in the United States.
Mark's passion is to bring the ancient tools for self-healing that he has learned over the past 40 years to as many people as possible.
